Baggage transfer is often asked about on the Southern Upland Way. Some of the SUW accommodation providers are happy to provide this service, and we are very grateful for their continued support. They tend to have extensive knowledge of the SUW. What more could you want? Fed, bed, and your luggage dealt with.
In areas where there is no baggage transfer or vehicle backup offered by accommodation providers, taxi firms can serve this purpose, allowing you the freedom to bring all of life’s luxuries, and not have to carry them. But we are working on creating a full list of accommodation providers who can help provide this service for the entire route.
Here is a list of known accommodation providers, east to west, who offer such services, and the areas they are prepared to cover. Outwith these areas it is recommended to call a local taxi firm. Taxi numbers are listed at the bottom of this page to cover areas where accommodation providers cannot assist.
